The 9eSIM card can successfully download eSIM profiles that provide QR codes, but the GIFFGAFF phone card in the UK can only convert the physical SIM card into eSIM information through the official app and download it to a smartphone chip with eSIM functionality. does the eSIM adapter can be programmed only with the bluetooth (or probably any other cardreader, I assume) reader, or is it possible to write it with Android software as well? (Just like the 5esim cards?)
Dear customer, 9eSIM card can be programmed by our BLE reader or any other brands PC/SC card reader, and it also can be programmed by an Android/iOS APP.
If you have a PC/SC reader, the mobile application NekokoLPA(both have Android/iOS version) are recommend. And if you have a Android Phone, you can try NekokoLPA android version or EasyEUICC. A Android phone, usually needn’t the card reader. And, if you are familiar with Wechat, than you can aslo use our eLPA reader(which is a BLE card reader) to programm the card.

您好！eSIM需要被modem读取并与运营商网络进行交互然后才能使移动蜂窝设备接入蜂窝网络。因此卡片在USB读卡器是不能直接被modem读取的。对于大部分安卓9及以后的手机是可以不需要借助读卡器下载的。可以直接在卡槽被modem识别，打APP之后又可以进行eSIM profile管理。
短信和网络的使用有解决吗？我也遇到了。eSim在软件里看着全部正常，但是电话短信网络都不能用

Could 9esim please update the APKs for Android, and consider publishing EasyEUICC_9esim as the official 9eSIM app on Google Play?
It seems the V2 and V3 have both EasyEUICC’s ARA-M (hash 2A…FA) and 9esim’s ARA-M (hash D1…1F). But the V0 only has 9esim’s ARA-M (hash D1…1F).
As of May 6 2025, EasyEUICC 1.3.0 was just released. However, EasyEUICC_9esim above is 1.2.0. EasyEUICC based apps only support one ARA-M, so the V0 needs EasyEUICC_9esim (modified with 9esim’s ARA-M) and cannot use the unmodified EasyEUICC 1.3.0. (The V2 and v3 can use the unmodified EasyEUICC 1.3.0.)
NekokoLPA M 1.11.356 was also just released. However, 9esim-nLPA above is v1.10.331, while the official 9eSIM app on Google Play is v1.11.355. These NekokoLPA based apps support 9esim’s ARA-M, so the V0 can use any of them. However, EasyEUICC appears to work better for downloading (e.g., http://redd.it/1k0grpi, http://redd.it/1kbutx6).

İ have the same problem with my v0. Compatibility check returns all passed ✓ but when it comes to adding a eşim profile it returns “ara-m not supported. I think the previous post advises a way forward but I was not able to follow it. It doesn’t matter. If our APP cannot recognize your card, you can try to use a PC/SC card reader to manage it, because PC/SC card readers can always recognize it regardless of the manufacturer’s similar products.

您好，请问您写入profile的时候是使用的我们的APP吗？如果是的话意味着它是可以被手机识别的。如果您是通过外部的读卡器写入的，您在写入profile后还需要启用profile。不过默认情况下它里面有一个通用的profile，以供一般手机系统检测到有SIM卡插入。

You can try again by opening the software with administrator privileges, or cross-verify whether it can be used with another EasyLPA. If neither works, you may need to try again on another PC.
Thanks for your advice. Probably smart card politics was switched off in PC settings as unused. However opening the software with administrator privileges, finally helped to see Sim card profiles.
I bought 9 eSIM. The program behaves strangely. Both my slots support this technology. I inserted it into the second slot and the SIM card appeared in the program. However, even if your card is not a 9eSIM, you can still use a smart card reader to operate it. On Android 13/14, NEVER disable the SIM Slot that holds the eSIM.me Card
Doing so will render the currently active eSIM profile to be not available!
From Android 11 and newer, Android assigns a CardID to every SIM card inserted in the phone and “remembers” what the setting of that SIM card was, including its status (Enabled/Disabled).
Android OS 13/14 can handle eSIM profiles. As eSIM Profiles are “digital” version of a SIM Card, they also get an CardID assigned.
So each eSIM profile gets its CardID, including its status.
When you (think to) disable a SIM Slot, what actually Android does is to set the status of that CardID to “disabled”.
Unfortunately, Android is then unable to set the status back to “enabled” again. This is an Android BUG.
So it will remember it was disabled and you will not be able to access that CardID, eSIM Profile.
You have the following options:
a) Install new eSIM profiles or switch to installed eSIM profiles.
ONLY use the eSIM.me APP to enable/disable an eSIM Profiles.
As long as you do not set them to “disabled” in the system settings, by (thinking to) disabling the SIM Slot, they will work.
b) Reset your phone to factory settings, that will clear the “list” of the statuses of the CardIDs.
c) If your phone is rooted, you can follow this guideline a user created, to manually enable the SIM cards in the Android list:

接上面的,找到原因了.双卡的手机,我启用后(比如卡1正常卡,卡2为9ESIM),在手机系统网络设置里面只要点击过停用卡2,然后在这个手机将无法识别卡2里面的9ESIM了(手机根本识别不到有9esim这个卡,就像是没有插卡,但是APP打开能看到).换一个手机正常使用.这算不算BUG?停用一下9esim卡槽然后就无法启用了,换卡槽也识别不了.手机是小米14 红米K60
我们确实有接到部分用户报告这个问题。目前发现解决的办法是需要使用adb或者在设置中清理一下telephony的使用数据后可以恢复。

How to update the 9esim firmware ? you guys use Kigen and the current 9esim V3 cards are all using the 36.18.5 eUICC Firmware Version from the launch date of the esim (24/01/2025) which certainly comes with GSMA TS.48 v6.0, i quote “According to an advisory released by Kigen, the vulnerability is rooted in the GSMA TS.48 Generic Test Profile, versions 6.0 and earlier, which is said to be used in eSIM products for radio compliance testing.
Specifically, the shortcoming allows for the installation of non-verified, and potentially malicious applets. GSMA TS.48 v7.0, released last month, mitigates the problem by restricting the use of the test profile”

Hello, your device can use 9eSIM cards. Generally, we only need to pay attention to the OMAPI option. If OMAPI is supported, it means that your device can directly download profiles to the 9eSIM card. If it is not supported, but a USB card reader is supported, this means that you will need to purchase a separate card reader device to download profiles to the 9eSIM card. Once the profile is successfully downloaded, it can be used on almost all handheld devices. Operations such as “enabling” and “disabling” the profile can also be performed in the device’s “Settings” interface through the SIM application (STK).

“Settings” => “Connections” => “Sim Manager” shows only SIM1 even though it is a Samsung A53 Dual, which has 2 SIM slots; my 2nd slot was empty. I inserted the 9esim card into SIM2 and run “Compatibility Check” again. This time, all the boxes were marked with a tick and the “Sim Manager” shows both slots. No problem with a Samsung A53 Dual.
I hope your phone is also a dual.

Feature request for EasyEUICC_9esim
I have several time-limited tourist esim profiles and a “permanent” profile that is provided as part of my mobile data plan. The latter profile is precious as it would cost me lots of $$$ to request for a replacement if I were to accidentally delete it.
It would be nice if EasyEUICC_9esim can maintain a list of precious or protected profiles. If a profile is protected, then the profile’s menu would not have a “Delete” entry even if the profile is disabled. Profiles can be added or removed from the protected list via “Settings” in the top menu. I hope you would consider implementing this feature. Thank you.

Feature request for EasyEUICC_9esim: data usage link
When buying esim profiles, the seller would send an email that contains the QR code for downloading the profile as well as a link to a web page that shows the data volume that has already been consumed on that profile.
It would be nice if the EasyEUICC_9esim app can provide a mechanism for the user to copy-and-paste the data usage link into the app when adding a profile and provide a way for the user to get the app to open a web browser to that link when using the profile. If the link is embedded inside the profile, then the app should expose that link, saving the user the trouble of copy-and-pasting. I hope you would consider implementing this feature. Thank you.

Technically, your profile cannot be imported or exported; this is a necessary security requirement mandated by GSMA technical specifications.
However, you can check with your carrier to see if you can convert your existing SIM card to an eSIM. This requires consulting your mobile network provider.
Hi Yesterday I received my 9esim card together with a card reader.
The order number is: 46584 (2025-12-30).
The Simcard itself is working well on an android phone.
However the card reader is not working at all.
I tried it on a iPhone, IPAD, Windows-PC and MACbook.
By none of these devices the led in the card reader is lightning-up, and the software is not able to detect the card reader.
It looks like the card reader is Dead on Arrival (DOA). Can you please send me a working one a.s.a.p?
